EVERY CLOUD HAS A SILVER LINING

The team at Epacha Game Lodge & Spa are jumping for joy after the long-awaited rainfall arrived last week on the reserve.  With a downpour of 10 millilitres, the forecast for the coming rainy season looks promising.

Namibia has been experiencing a severe drought with below-average rainfall being recorded for most parts of the country since 2013. This prompted President Hage Geingob to declare a state of emergency earlier this year. The good news is weather experts predict that between October and December, the overall rainfall is expected to be significantly higher in comparison to previous years. This news comes as a welcome relief for the area, especially as the heat of summer is already in full effect.
